Old Stone Kennels started back in 2003 when our son came home with a 6 month old Siberian out of North Carolina. She traveled back and forth with him on his visits home to Cape Vincent. When he had to transfer to Colorado, he had to leave her with us and then it all began. Bob had noticed a Ski Joring event in the local paper and his interest had peaked and just had to learn all he could about Ski Joring. After a visit to Tug Hill for our first sledding and Ski Joring event, he was hooked. From there, more dogs were purchased, sledding equipment and Ski Joring equipment. Training began and the birth of Old Stone Kennels happened. A local dog show in Clayton came that June and we took a ride over to see what that was all about. There we saw the most beautiful Siberian we had ever seen. Of course, it was the number one sibe in the U.S., and from there came our first show dog; Zoey, a few weeks later. Zoey is the offspring of CH Seeonees Point Blank, "Rocky". We were then bit by the showing of this beautiful breed, and from there came more show dogs. We are now enjoying the comforts of both show and sledding worlds and finally have our first litter on the ground, 4 years later. The name, Old Stone Kennels, came from the house we owned in Cape Vincent and the beautiful 5.5 acres of land it was on. The house was an 1843 stone home with many stone walls on the property. All the stones had fossils and hence the name; Old Stone. Since relocating to the Middleport area, we kept the name and were given a few stones from the stone walls to take with us to our new location. Our dogs are still sledding and showing and have settled into their new home on 9.3 acres. Our move was due to relocation with Bob's company and we are enjoying the many new shows we have not been to before, making new friends and missing our old ones. Contact Us
